Vacuum pouches made of polyoefine films = high barrier + status: „ready for recycling”!!

Polypropylene (PP) and Polyethylene (PE) (polyolefins) can be recycled individually or in combination and are very good sealing medium, but only form a humidity barrier, which is why EVOH is used as a gas barrier.

• Materials can be washed, decontaminated and reprocessed into granulate.
• The granules can then be reused in the extruder and for new film.

Polyethylene and polypropylene films can contain EVOH without losing their recyclable status. The total film thickness and the type of EVOH define the permitted amount of EVOH. This approach is possible for all applications.

EVOH-Status

Category of impurity 2 out of three categories: a substance, which cannot be separated by the method established in the recycling process, but which at a certain concentration does not significantly deteriorate or worsen the characteristics of recycling.
